NYC Friday to mark 71 years since the attack on Pearl Harbo

A number of events will be held in the city Friday to mark 71 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor.
A moment of silence was held at 7:55 a.m. local time in Hawaii to mark the moment the bombs first hit.
In New York, Pearl Harbor survivors gathered at the Intrepid to lay a wreath in the Hudson River.
The event included a 21-gun salute by the 69th Infantry Firing Party.
Curtis High School on Staten Island also is holding a memorial, being attended by the borough's sole survivor of the attack.

More than 2,000 people were killed when the Japanese launched the surprise attack on the U.S. Navy base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii in 1941.
The attack pulled the United States into World War II.
