- Panel featuring a diverse range of perspectives and backgrounds from gardeners and experts from across NYC
- Reveal of the first two modules (Affordable Housing & Emergency Food) of the Urban Agriculture Tookit to help you with your vision to grow where you are!
The farm will be open around 6 PM -- you are welcome to come and hang out and relax. It's going to be a party--while we will have some food and beverages, bringing your own picnic food and beverages are strongly encouraged.

Join NYC Foodscape and a panel of New York City urban agriculture experts to share their successes and challenges around gardening in the big city this Wednesday, July 30, 2014 for an Urban Agriculture Celebration at the Hells Kitchen Rooftop Farm. The event is hosted the Partnership for a Healthier Manhattan, the borough leader for a citywide effort by community-based organizations, local officials, advocates and individuals to work on policy, systems and environmental change to significantly reduce chronic disease in New York City. NYC Foodscape serves on the Urban Agriculture and the Healthy Eating subcommittees, working to create an urban agriculture toolkit with case studies and resources for New York City citizens and organizations who want to start gardens to grow their own food. NYC Foodscape will give tips on growing food in small spaces, highlighting some of its small space garden projects, including last years’ straw bale garden at the Children’s Garden at Campos, The Talking Farm and others...
