Remembering St. Vincent’s Hospital St. Vincent’s Theatre Project

Note From Suzannah -- I will be out on the sidewalk protesting in 2 or 3 weeks when ever I have some spare time.

St. Vincent’s stitched up my leg twice.
I remember St. V on Sept. 11...
I probably won’t go to this but very touching...

Remembering Saint Vincent's Hospital
Two Years After the Close
In April 2010, after 160 years, Saint Vincent's ended as a hospital. How does it live in memories now?

We warmly invite you to gather with neighbors, activists, and artists this April to mark the second anniversary of the closing of Saint Vincent's Hospital.  Bring a friend, and forward this invitation widely.

Come read and watch some of the stories and thoughts that people have contributed about the former hospital, in their raw form.  Then share new memories or thoughts of yours through structured discussion.  Finally, create seeds for your own artistic response to the close using an assortment of basic art supplies and creative exercises that we will provide.  The material we create will feed our upcoming Interactive Story Gallery.  No visual art or theatre experience is necessary to participate! We encourage everyone to join, play and share.

Saturday, April 28
2:00-5:00
Judson Memorial Church
Enter at 239 Thompson Street

The Saint Vincent's Theatre Project was created to mark the loss of Saint Vincent's, honor the rich history and community connected to the hospital, and deepen dialogue about the future of healthcare in our community. With over one hundred participants and counting, the Saint Vincent's Theatre Project has become a living archive of stories. The project will culminate with our Interactive Story Gallery, which will use visual art, essay, and performance to weave together the memories and reflections we have gathered about the hospital. For more information about our ongoing project, please visit our websitewatch our video, or feel free to call us at the number below.

Wishing you each a happy and healthy spring,

Liz and Michael

Mayor Bloomberg PC World Lists CityTime top 10 ERP Software Failures

I predict we will have to throw away CityTime because guess what it was and is a flawed system.
It does not work right and has cost the City and Tax Payers a fortune.

I dubbed CityTime The Tax Payer’s Titanic.

http://www.deloitte.com/assets/Dcom-UnitedStates/Local%20Content/Articles/AERS/us_aers_Client%20List%20Jan%201%202011.pdfScroll down and see SAIC a client. Didn’t NYC Gov and SAIC have auditors? Didn’t Mark Page, Mike Bloomberg, Rose Gill Hearn, Bill Thompson, Patti Harris, Christine Quinn who brushed aside 2 investigations in to CityTime etc. think something was very wrong with CityTime and SAIC? Why was the SAIC MTA deal pushed.

http://youtu.be/AfnGDuHUQNk  Here I am with Local 375 DC37 in front of SAIC’s office in NYC.  I am the only one asking for 1 billion dollars plus RICO charges.

Hospital Protest Christmas Eve West Village

I am told a car pulled up with a passenger doubled over in need of a hospital.  Sad to say we don’t have video.

Taxi cabs to pedestrians cheered on the efforts of the protests including at least two that will spend the entire night out in the cold to symbolically make the point the entire neighborhood on the West Side from mid-town, Chelsea, W. Village to Battery Park have no trauma 1 full service hospital anymore.

http://youtu.be/-y9yZaL2zWM Louis Flores with other community activists and Occupy Wall Street Health Care folks protesting outside St. Vincent’s -- New Yorkers left out in the cold.

I have more videos coming -- just very tired....will post tomorrow or Monday.

Rudin Condo St Vincent’s activists w/ Occupy Wall St Die-in

Note some Occupy Wall Street Health Care very spiritual and do not believe in any hostile expressions and negativity but to either “ignore” or “turn the other check”.  I am not there.

The firing of a NY1 camera man for filming our protest Day 1 outside the Rudin Condo sales office, the constant harassment while attempting to protest which is my right along with the media black-out just like when we fought Bloomberg and his mini-me pushing through an illegal third term along with battling the other destroyer of the area NYU, pres.  John Sexton and the worst most evil city planner Amanda the People’s Burden giving all her fellow 1% friends zone busting greens lights to supersize our communities crushing and destroying our neighborhoods is just too much with sacharin sweet sound bytes from that manure shoveling Mitchell Moss and NYU and Rudin flunkie is JUST TOO MUCH.

I felt horrified to hear about the police brutality down town.  If you visit my main blog you can see me with a young Occupy Wall Street woman who stands with us for a moment by the Rudin Sales office and fills us in on the mayhem downtown including yet another NYPD officer punching a woman!

Exhausted and I have to take a bath and upload footage.

Members of the Healthcare for the 99% Working Group from #OccupyWallStreet will join this action.  Activists are undertaking their action on :

DATE :  Thursday, November 17, 2011
TIME :  1:00 – 1:30 p.m.
PLACE :  St. Vincent’s Hospital, Seventh Avenue South and West 11th Street

At St. Vincent’s, activists will stage a SPEAK-OUT and a DIE-IN.  After that, activists will march to Union Square, so that they can arrive before 3:00 p.m.

Activists want to force billionaire Bill Rudin from the Rudin Management Company to take the lead in building a Trauma Level 1, full-service hospital to replace St. Vincent’s.

Did you know that the residents of the Lower West Side of Manhattan below 57th Street have no hospital ?

Did you know that Bill Rudin wants to offer us a two-bed “hospital” in a phony health care facility ?

Curbed Mis-Reports Rudin Family Blood Condo Protestors for fear of “Nice” Fascist Rudin Family?

Was Curbed so fearful of being crushed by the “nice” Rudin family who have no comment along with Howard Rubenstein as to why a NY1 Camera man who worked for NY1 for 6 years was fired for alleging staging protestors was fired.  He did not stage us.

They asked why I thought what I thought and I explained the NY1 Camera man being fired for covering our protest.  Read on and you will learn not one major media outlet most have a connection to the nice Howard Rubenstein, the “nice” Rudin family have connections to Rudin and or are represented by Howard as well as like The New York Times who advertises the blood Condos and The NY Times refuses to report any news on our protest.

Suzannah B. Troy’s Fundamental Fury Is That The People of NYC Come Last and Greed Comes First

Excerpts from Silvia Sanza interviewing Suzannah Troy.

"The first thing  you notice about Suzannah Troy is that she is never without a smile.  But in her heart there is a roar, the rumble of someone who demands justice.  She talks in capital letters and she talks a mile a minute.  I hang on to every word.  She scares me with her brilliance and nonstop energy.  I have watched and listened to her often during our tireless struggle for a new hospital at the site of St. Vincent’s which closed on April 30, 2010.”
..........
She has many causes, but her fundamental fury is that the people of New York City come last and greed comes first.  In her own words, “Our leaders have high priced public relation machines but they are destroying our neighborhoods with greed and stupidity including corrupt real estate deals to mortgage meltdown and Wall Street implosion — common thread greed and stupidity have really hurt this country.”

Suzannah Troy Artist Interviewed by Silvia Sanza

Here is an interview I just did with Silvia Sanza on her really cool blog http://www.swapyourmama.com/ which is a new website on bartering to get what you need -- no money required!

The interview is political from Bloomberg’s community crushing development in the East Village to Bill Rudin’s Blood Condos in the W. Village with famous Mr. Fixer Howard Rubenstein getting a special mention so check out the piece!

http://www.silviasanza.com/  Silvia Sanza is a beautiful SOUL, pure NYC and a talented artist, writer and activist.  You can visit both her sites and learn more about this passionate woman and see her beautiful photos of New York City, her collages and assemblages and even look at fictional books she has had published.  Check out Swap your Mama and Silvia thank you so much for such a wonderful time and a lively interview!

I have been blacked out by the media on behalf of Mike Bloomberg and pals.  Howard, have any ideas how that happens, voices in opposition silenced.

Thanks to Mr. NYC and the very talented artist, photographer Silvia Sanza....the photo posted with her interview of me is taken by her at a St. Vincent’s We need a hospital.

Occupy Wall Street joins St. Vincent’s We Need A Hospital protest!
At end of tube you hear me yell Hear That Rudin Family?

Google Censorship on Behalf of Christine Quinn Bloomberg: Louis Flores No Third Term Blog Removed by Suzannah Troy Artist

Read the press release above to learn how yet another New York Political Activist has been removed from Google’s blogger and or YouTubeland yet again!

Write Press@Google.com asap and demand they return Louis Flores’s blogs!!!  Ask all friends and enemies to write Press@Google.com as well.  Is this China or the USA?

Louis’s last post was pointing out Christine Quinn was on reminding the People Christine Quinn signed off on the requirement that protestors need a permit for a crowd over 50 people.

Click on the link above and you will read this...
This morning’s censorship followed just hours after Mr. Flores published a controversial blog post on the Christine Quinn Sold Out blog, which traced back to New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn the problems that the #OccupyWallStreet social movement have been having with protest permits. Note that the Christine Quinn Sold Out blog and the controversial post ( http://christine-quinn-sold-out.blogspot.com/2011/10/occupywallstreet-protest-permits.html) have also been temporarily removed/deäctivated by Google’s Blogger service.

Note this Christine Quinn blog was removed but has been returned but No Third Term and other blogs listed in the press release above remain removed.  Below a sample of Louis Flores work...

Thanks again to famed Civil Rights lawyer, Louis Flores, Queens Crap and everyone that took the time to write Google on my behalf to demand my YouTube channel highly critical of Bloomberg be restored.
http://suzannahbtroy.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-youtube-banned-me-and-my-work-was.html  The last YouTube I has posted before being removed was highly critical of David Yassky for aiding and abetting Bloomberg in pushing through an illegal third term denying voters a referendum.

Note: Gary Tilzer’s blog True News from Change was removed as well -- I remember it was on a Sunday and Louis Flores and I worked our guts out all day to get his blog returned to him.

Write the Supreme Court Dept. Disciplinary Committee Chad Seigel comparing our genital to Fly Traps NYPD Rape Cop Trial!

Supreme Court Dept. of Disciplinary Committee not going to punish Chad D. Seigel, Esquire but the Supreme Court Disciplinary Committee does echo the sentiment of Judge Carro in relation to the crude and inappropriate term  Chad Seigel used in defending his client(s) in the underlying rape trail, it does not rise to the level of misconduct warranting discipline pursuant to the NY Rules of Professional Conduct.

Folks -- Chad Seigel and Joe Tacopina got away with putting the rape victim on trial and an in your face hate crimes against women.  Rapes are up and under reported.  Another NYPD officer has been exposed raping yet another innocent woman and another NYPD officer has been exposed involved with drugs -- as making money off of drugs.  Why not since Cy Vance has given a message to the NYPD -- go for it with drugs and you will get barely a wrist slap rolling the heroin in the NYPD rape cop’s locker in to a year sentence.

In Chad Seigel’s response to the grievance he gives me the full Tacopina Seigel rape treatment and slanders me and Veterans from WW2, Korea and Viet Nam as well as LGBT activists who bothered to protest in front of their law offices with me because we objected to their behavior in court and putting the NYPD rape victim on trial.

Anyone who cares you too can write and complain for Chad Seigel comparing women’s genital in question form to a (Venus) Fly Trap.  This file is closed with in thirty days folks unless you care to write them and tell them your opinion -- at least we can make the file a bit thicker and send a message.

You don’t get to prey on us, rape us because we a drunk, how we are dressed or even naked, it doesn’t matter if we are dressed provocatively from babies to grannies stop the violence towards women, the rapes and murders.   Click on the link to see the photos of the Art Posters I made to dehumanize these misogynist lawyers and it worked.  I can show you Chad Seigel’s upset in his own words sent to the committee as he beat me up lying up me and trashing me.  I call it lying and slander when he says I sent to his offices to harass him.  I had a protest in front of his office with the permission of the NYPD.

Mike Bloomberg and Rupert Murdoch The NY Pensions and John Liu

"Among News Corp.'s larger investors are New York City's five pension funds, which collectively own a $92 million chunk of the company. And New York City Comptroller John Liu, who manages the funds, is joining a shareholder revolt that seeks to oust Murdoch, his two sons James and Lachlan, and a number of other Murdoch cronies from the company's board on account of all the lying to Parliament and running their British newspapers like a massive criminal conspiracy.”

150 Billion $ Brookfield Occupy Wall Street’s 1% Landlord Could Provide Solar Panels and Heated Tents for Occupy Wall Street

ps  How is Brookfield worth 150 billion dollars doing with all those mega-millions of dollars they got from our Federal government for 9-11 and also Dept. of Energy?

Hilarious Christine Quinn tried to take credit for getting Brookfield to back down!
Maybe Brookfield can give Occupy Wall Street some solar panels and some warmth since they got 137 million dollar Dept. of Energy loan.

How the media including the NY post blacks out Occupy Wall Street health care protest march that ended in front of St. Vincent’s open 9-11 closed now thanks to corrupt politicians and real estate greed.  The Rudins donating big to corrupt Christine Quinn who let the hospital close and it is in her district.  She has sold what was left of her soul to the  Rudins.

Occupy Wall Street Health Insurance St Vincents Protest Press Release

New York, NY – Oct 26 – Activists from and allies of Occupy Wall Street will be marching to St. Vincent’s Hospital today to highlight the greed and corruption that lead to the hospital’s devastating closure in 2010.   St. Vincent’s was a Catholic-run hospital, which had a charity mission to serve the under-insured and uninsured.  St. Vincent’s lacked the corporate clout to negotiate fair reimbursement rates from profit-driven insurance companies, leading to financial instability.  Moreover, the short-term focus of the highly-paid executives and consultants pushed St. Vincent’s into bankruptcy – leading to a public health emergency:  there is now no hospital on the Westside below 57th Street.   Two months ago, The New York Post reported that the Manhattan District Attorney was investigating whether hospital executives intentionally let St. Vincent’s fail, so that the Rudin Management Company could buy the hospital’s real estate as part of a controversial luxury condominium development project. (1)   Rudin paid pennies on the dollar to buy the hospital’s real estate, and Rudin now stands to sell luxury condominiums and townhouses, once constructed, that are expected to have a combined fair-market value of over $1 billion.

“People can’t get the healthcare they need when they need it, precisely because of the corporate desire for making profits by denying healthcare coverage and access to sick patients,” states Dr. Elizabeth Rosenthal of Physicians for a National Health Program.   “I have a health insurance plan with a $15,000 deductible.  My family rations care all the time because we can’t afford the out-of-pockets costs,” explains Katie Robbins, supporter of Occupy Wall Street and member of Healthcare-NOW! NYC. “We have to get Wall Street out of our healthcare system.”   Anger towards the Wall Street-controlled healthcare system inspired today’s march, which is set to also target Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and WellCare.  The march was initiated by a working group of Occupy Wall Street called Healthcare for the 99%, which is composed of healthcare workers and people who seek to end inequality in our healthcare system and our society.     ### (1) http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/manhattan/da_eyes_st_vinny_go_for_broke_plan_fvDtudcbAWyxqqiQnhbzaI   WHEN: Wednesday, October 26, 3pm - 7pm WHERE: Starting at Liberty Square (Zuccotti Park), Broadway and Cedar MARCH DETAILS: http://owshealthcare.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/march-route-map.pdf Assemble 3pm at Liberty Square (corner of Bway and Cedar), Speak-out at 4pm 4:15pm – Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield / One Liberty Plaza ARRIVE 5:30pm  - WellCare / 110 5th Ave 6pm – St Vincent’s Community Hospital / 12th St & 7th Ave

Mayor Bloomberg Crook Says OWS get Permits

http://youtu.be/-SliB5_x6hk Mr. Mosque Mike Bloomberg to violate Occupy Wall Street’s constitutional rights as well as human rights. Mike who committed perjury two weeks ago admits OWS peaceful to explain why OWS have been beaten, pepper sprayed and the NYPD tricking them in to a mass arrest leading them on to the Brooklyn Bridge. If the NYPD did not want them on the bridge why does the video show them being lead on to the bridge? Mike has violated their human rights and now Mike is going to go down for mass violation of constitutional rights for his corrupt Wall Street buddies protecting their mega-million dollar bonuses! This Sunday Sept. 23 marks 3 years ago Mike pushed through an illegal 3rd term with the help of his mini-me Christine Quinn a corrupt city council speaker that sold the lie we must have Mike to help us with the economy!

Did Mike and his mini-me Corrupt Christine Quinn help you? No but they and their pals grew richer as more New Yorkers fell in to poverty, homelessness, or were forced out of NYC!

Mike Bloomberg used slush payer money aka tax payer money and intimidation to push through a third term illegally done preventing us from voting on term limits! come sunday City Hall 2pm -- if under 20 people protest with us in the park -- if over 20 than East Side of City Hall by subway entrances.

Term Limits Anniversary Sunday 2PM in City Hall Park

On Oct. 23, 2008, City Council passed a law that extended term limits for Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Christine Quinn.  Quinn herself strong-armed the change of law in a self-serving attempt to save her career after her slush fund scandal exploded across all of the city's newspapers.

We are gathering at City Hall Park on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2 pm to mark the third anniversary of the "Day Democracy Died."

Activists will make speeches and pass out voter registration applications to help vote out the City Council members, who passed the term limits extension.

Giuseppi Logan Out of Hospital Tompkins Playing YouTube Documentary Series

His hip is broken.   He is playing on a broken sax.....

If you can help him with money or any kind of support.

Thank you.

Peaceful Protest We Need A Hospital West Village

You are invited to participate in the enactment of a mass civilian trauma exercise on the sidewalk outside St. Vincent's Hospital.
Join community members as they plan to peacefully organise a field hospital on the sidewalks, form into make-shift blood donation lines, visualise what it would look like to set up alternative decontamination showers, help each other to tie on surgical masks to protect each other from air-bourne particles, and finally to think through what steps would need to be taken to request provisional mass casualty tents.
Some of the participants will ''not make it,'' because there is no Level 1 Trauma Center below 14th Street. And it probably takes ambulances over 30 minutes to respond to the Lower West Side of Manhattan, and then it would probably take another 30 minutes for ambulances to drive through busy cross-town traffic to any of the hospitals on the East Side.  The ''survivors'' will have to figure out what to do with the “injured” participants.
Then, a team of survivors will walk over to Grace Church, 86 Fourth Ave., Tuttle Hall, to ask for help from Jason Mansfield, the chair of Manhattan Community Board 2's Environment, Public Safety & Public Health Committee.
Community Board 2 is about to approve the rezoning of St. Vincent's to allow the billionaire Rudin Family to convert the hospital into luxury condos. Community residents hope that this civilian trauma exercise will educate and mobilise the public to stop CB2 from approving the dangerous Rudin condo conversion plan for St. Vincent's Hospital.

The community's goal is to keep the real estate zoning intact, to attract new hospital investors to restore a full-service hospital at the former site of St. Vincent's.

Will Suzannah B. Troy Artist Make it past The NY Times Censors on John Liu Vs. Bloomberg Cover-ups for Bloomberg

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/12/nyregion/irregularities-found-in-john-lius-campaign-finance-reports.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1&hp   I posted the comment below -- but will I make it past The New York Times sensors?

The New York Times coverage -- or should I save “cover” for Mike Bloomberg vs. John Liu is very interesting.  For instance besides silencing voices in opposition of the mayor including mine, The New York Times did everything possible to put Mike Bloomberg in office a third term.  http://youtu.be/F3OLAgH1MJg I post a YouTube link May 4, 2009 stating don’t believe what the media is saying Mike Bloomberg may not win due to Voter Anger!  What did I know that The New York Times didn’t or chose to be willfully obtuse but was forced off script the night of the election?  John Liu stopped CityTime in it’s tracks will Bloomberg and Thompson allowed CityTime to flourish.  Liu stopped CityTime 2 aka ECTP the 911 tech system which in my opinion may be in fact a bigger rip-off of NYC tax payer money than CityTime.  I dubbed NYCAPS CityTime 3.  In case you don’t post this comment it goes on all my blogs.  Liu is not a saint but he has made history exposing the largest White Collar Crime ever in NYC gov. history but The NYTimes non-reporting for Mike Bloomberg and pals is as shocking as Steve Rattner pleading the 5th 62 times and getting an Op Ed piece in The NY Times!
____________________________________________________________
earlier post today......

Scroll down until you get to The NY Post part about the Post’s treatment of John Liu.  If you do not know anything about Murdoch Joel Klein board of ed or department of education tech deals -- you need to start googling and how John Liu may have thwarted Rupert Murdoch’s mega-bucks dream to tech this tech program globally but Liu may have prevented him from doing so here in NYC.

If you buy my lunch maybe I will spoon feed you but I am tired of pasting all the links.

Occupy Wall St Washington Sq Park NYU Dirt

http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/wall_street_protesters_to_occupy_4V8FHFBbZzezVpObnYA6VM

Thank goodness!   No room for NYU students!!!  If Occupy Wall Street knew the corrupt greedy “improvements” brokered by NYU, Mike Bloomberg to “improve Washington Square park -- wasting millions to move a fountain a few feet and ripped out old trees so NYU can continue to turn out the public for their private graduations.  I prefer Occupy Wall Street any day to NYU turning the public out of a public park, ripping out ancient trees for their picture perfect graduation photos.  The money could have gone to parks in poor neighborhoods and FYI John Sexton pres of NYU aka the evil empire ran down to testify Mike Bloomberg must have a 3rd term and he all all the vile creeps that want to protect their real estate and financial bets want Christine Quinn in so Mike can have a 4th term!

Just a reminder Mike’s city planner an evil shrew mega-millionaire socialite Amanda the People’s Burden and she and Mike are responsible for the most mass displacement and for the largest exodus of people here since the Native Americans.   Eminent domain abuse -- Columbia University the entire neighborhood of Manhattanville and ex mayor David Dinkins was purchased along with the illegal land grab - another sell-out, eminent domain abuse -- Brooklyn -- a Russian billionaire via eminent domain abuse owns a huge chunk of Brooklyn, Willet’s Point, etc.   NY Times building eminent domain abuse and their stupid greed bankrupted them so now a Mexican billionaire owns a huge chunk of the NYTimes!  Cooper Union has been allowed to do some serious illegal zone busting buildings thanks to Amanda the People’s Burden.  Even Rudy’s city planner said no to Cooper Union, NYU jr.  NYU mega dormed the East Village to death and than came mega hotels and sky piercing condos!

Like Wall Street greed, NYC real estate and NY gov from Albany to City Hall greed and stupidity rules -- The White House as well which is why we have a 17? trillion dollar deficit and China owns a huge part of our debt!

#ows Second General Assembly Of Manhattan Meets At 3PM In Washington Square Park - Anti-Flag To Play Set In Solidarity at Liberty Square

Posted Oct. 8, 2011, 1:30 a.m. EST by
#ows is growing. We will be in a thousand cities in this country by the end of the month - hundreds of cities in other countries. We will see General Assemblies on six continents.
Liberty Square has grown exponentially over the last three weeks. It is time to form a second General Assembly in Manhattan. We expect more to follow.
On October eighth at three in the afternoon a General Assembly will convene in Washington Square Park. At the same time Anti-Flag will play an acoustic set in Liberty Square in solidarity with our movement's expansion.
We are growing. Block by block – city by city. We will see change in this country, in this world. It will happen sooner than you can imagine.
